Our #CHEWSBETTERBREAKFAST campaign is underway! September is Better Breakfast Month and we are trying to encourage everyone to choose breakfast! Last year we had so much fun sharing our Better Breakfast Challenge with you all, we decided to bring it back, because well…breakfast is STILL the most important meal of the day!
Here are some reasons we think breakfast is awesome (and so important)! Breakfast:
- Helps you focus.
- Gives you energy to start and go about your day.
- Helps you lose weight.
- Helps you maintain a healthy weight.
One of the biggest problems we encounter with people not eating breakfast is that they “aren’t hungry.”
Folks. Family. This is a LIE. A Jedi mind trick!! If this person is you, I know you didn’t want to hear that but its true. You ARE hungry, and you just have to retrain your body to follow along. The problem is that when you go so long without eating breakfast, your body adjusts to it. In the same sense, when your body is used to eating breakfast, your body will let you know when it’s time to eat.
Here’s the simple solution. EAT breakfast. You have to eat something. Grab some fruit, a granola bar, some nuts, a cinnamon roll, SOMETHING! The idea is to make breakfast a habit. Your body will naturally begin to adapt and you will begin to be hungry in the mornings when its time for breakfast.
It takes 30 days to develop a habit, so what better time to start our Better Breakfast Challenge?! By the end of the month breakfast will be a routine part of your day.
