I love the idea of fun food like pizza, especially during the holidays because it’s so easy to prepare. We always have people in and out visiting, and our “day-of” holiday feasts are always super labor intensive. So I like to enjoy easy foods around the holidays that to make my life easier as a hostess.
I grabbed some Red Baron® Thin Crust Pizzas at Walmart on the frozen aisle, as I was grabbing other items to prepare for my company. I love that they are delicious and ready in minutes. I can get them in Pepperoni, Supreme, and Cheese varieties so I don’t have to hear any complaints. The crispy thin crust, paired with all of the yummy toppings, ensures there is something for everyone.
Delicious pizza can be a life saver as you prepare your house for the holidays making it super easy to feed the family at the drop of the hat or even do some impromptu holiday entertaining! Pizza and salad is one of my favorite food combinations and this delicious Pomegranate Caesar Salad is going to go great with your Red Baron pizza, add a festive touch perfect for the holidays! It’s super delicious…and also easy because as I said I’m a firm believer in “no fuss” food, especially gearing up for the holidays.
POMEGRANATE CAESAR SALAD
*This dressing was prepared by hand, but you can make it even simpler by putting in the blender and emulsifying it that way. (Letting it bind together and thicken.)
For the dressing –
1tsp Minced Garlic
1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
2tsp Sherry Vinegar
1Tbsp Dijon Mustard
2Tbsp. Pomegranate Juice
1 head of Romaine Lettuce
1/2c. Pomegranate Airils
Parmesan Cheese, for garnish (optional)
Whisk all ingredients (except oil) in a clean bowl until mixed well. Mixture should begin to get light and thicken. Slowly pour oil into mixture and whisk at the same time, until mixture binds together a blend is thick. Adjust seasonings. Pour a small amount in a separate clean bowl and toss prepared lettuce until coated but not soggy. Top with pomegranate airils and cheese. Serve immediately.
