I’ve been very reflective going into a new year, as I guess most people are. One of my goals for 2016 is to nurture my friendships. I’ve had a select few ladies that I’ve grown close to over the last three years and I want to make it a point to grow my friendships in a more meaningful way.
I thought movie night would be a great idea to get the girls together before the new year comes in. Just to laugh, cry, pray, and set our intentions for 2016. My best friend has a newborn so she won’t be leaving her house anytime soon, but now she doesn’t have to miss the fun! With Sony Pictures new release of War Room, I knew “Girl’s Night In” would be a hit.
I loved War Room so much. As a Christian, I thought it was really great to see a Christian picture go mainstream. Prayer is such an important part of my life, and I loved the implementation of the “war room” and have since set up one in my own house. I think its so important as we set intentions for the new year, to keep God first and to also bond with other women who believe in prayer being the foundation of a prosperous life. There really wasn’t a better film for our girl’s night. Many of the women, including myself could very closely relate to the ups and downs of the Jordan family.

I also found the cutest mini purses in the craft section and thought what a great craft to do for girl’s night! I stenciled initials on them with craft paint. I lined them with parchment paper, and the caramel popcorn for the movie was so cute in it! They can take them home as favors. I hooked them around the Coca-Cola bottles as I was setting them up so everyone would know that the snack went together. Like a little bundle!
I also found the cutest M&M’S candies in the checkout line! They were packaged in individual containers, and my favorite part was that you could pop them open, close them up (if you want to save some for later in the movie), and pop them open again. they were the perfect size for each lady to have their own container. Making the popcorn was the most work I did. The “movie pack” was everything I needed for a great evening with my girls.
