Growing up, I loved the ballet and everything related to dance especially during the holidays. I still do, and I’m so glad the girls love it too! During this time of year, I always think of the Nutcracker and I thought of the cutest snack idea for their dance class.
If you know anything about dance class, there is always a winter recital. It’s a time for the students to show off what they’ve learned the past few months and really strut their stuff. It’s always so fun because it’s during the holidays and family who may be visiting from out of town get to come and support too.
I headed to WALMART to bring these sugar plums that danced in my head to life! I needed to pick up food for guests coming in, and some last minute holiday decor so it was perfect. I got the Snack Pack pudding cups I needed on the snack aisle and the tulle in the craft section. I decided to dress these pudding cups in tutus! TU-TU cute right?!
I didn’t have to labor over any food to whip up anything fantastic. I bought some HONEY MAID Teddy Grahams to mix in them and “bam!” I had tasty snacks for the girls in minutes. They were available in chocolate, vanilla, and chocolate vanilla, which I loved because it gives people options. Now to dress them up for their big show.
Cut colored tulle in five inch pieces. You will need about 20 for each tutu.
Loop them around the elastic one at a time, pulling each folded piece through the loop hole. I used small hair elastics so they could double as fun hair accessories for the girls to keep after the pudding is gone.
Stir a few HONEY MAID Teddy Grahams in each cup.
Fit each tutu around the base of the Snack Pack Pudding Cups.
Cut coffee stirrers in half and tape cut out teddy bears on each of the half sticks.
Place each bear in the pudding cups. Voila! You are officially dance mom of the year. Ha!
